THE LOUISIANGEL SERIES
Angel in Training
When you die, you either go to heaven, or to hell... unless the Archangel Michael takes interest and offers you life as one of their own.
College student Angel gets exactly that choice when she's murdered in the streets of New Orleans. To her surprise, she still has to prove herself worthy of becoming an angel, and is charged with ensuring the safety of trainee detective Joshua Walsh, who is in way over his head on an angelic serial murder case.
The terms of her trial period are clear: catch the killer, and don't become attached to your charge. Easier said than done when Joshua seems to be the only person who understands how important this investigation is to Angel... because she's hunting the monster who murdered her.
Six weeks ago, Angel earned her wings. Six weeks ago, Angel killed an innocent person. Six weeks ago, Angel set Lucifer free.
Michael doesn't accept that Lucifer is alive, let alone free, and he should know – he was the one to kill him. Thankfully, Veronica and the cherubim are on her side, only they seem more interested in proving Michael wrong than helping put Lucifer back in hell.
Then there’s Joshua. Angel is convinced that the best way for her charge to stay alive is for her to stay away. The problem is that Michael is adamant she remain his guardian angel.
Can Angel keep her charge and New Orleans safe from the evil that is lurking, or will her own demons be their downfall?
Human to-do lists are bad enough.
But the to-do list of an angel?
Out of this world.
Angel is under house arrest, trying to keep a low profile from the legions of people wanting to order up a miracle. But when she’s faced with the chance to defeat Asmodeus (one of two Princes of Darkness in New Orleans), she knows it’s time to act. Facing an ever-changing roster of allies and adversaries, Angel risks everything to remove the evil forces from the city. But will she go too far, and put Joshua in danger in the process?
Angel in Crisis
In the run up to Christmas, New Orleans is usually abuzz with excitement and festivity.
This year is different.
Asmodeus may have been defeated but the atmosphere in New Orleans is palpable. With the rest of the world watching, and people scared about what might happen next, evil is taking advantage of the chaos. Crime is on the increase in the city and the teenage culprits are proving more challenging to stop than the Fallen.
New Orleans is in trouble…
Inside the convent the tension is equally thick and tempers are beginning to fray. Half the building is in ruins, the other half is barely habitable, yet angelic duties must continue. Despite frequent clashes with the virtues, Grace and Metatron have permitted Angel and Cupid to clear up their own mess - but without Michael, they have to run the house and recruit potentials, whilst still protecting their charges.
… and the former House of Michael is in crisis mode.
