The Angelic Hierarchy

The First Choir

Seraphim

The highest ranking of the angels,.

Although all angels have a link to God, the seraphim are the only ones who can talk directly with God.

The seraphim are God's bodyguards.

Cherubim

Until relatively recently, the cherubim were considered the personal assistants to God and the First Choir.

A disagreement let to them taking up residence in the various Houses around the world.

As the disagreement was considered almost a rebellion, the cherubim were punished, tasked with the maintenance, housekeeping, and catering of each house.

The cherubim, once  God's personal assistants, are now the custodial staff of all the Houses.

Thrones

The last of the First Choir are the thrones. Although they report into the seraphim, their job is to ensure the angels behave.

The thrones are the equivalent of Heaven's human resources

The dominations are Heaven's general management.

Virtues

The virtues are the angels responsible for assigning out miracles. As these miracles are usually handled by the archangels, they are rarely given the credit they deserve.

Although their job does not require them to leave Heaven, several virtues believe they are more than capable of running their own Houses.

The virtues are Heaven's PR.

Powers

The main job of the powers is to make sure the bad stay out of heaven. They are mainly warriors, but do not visit Earth.

The powers are Heaven's security.

  • Savannah (Heaven)

The Third Choir

Principalities

The principalities are in charge of proceedings on Earth. Those who only possess the rank of principality reside in Heaven.

They have specific geographic areas to manage, doing their best with their small numbers to ensure the Houses are in the locations which matter.

The principalities are regional management.

Archangels

The main role of the archangel is that of a Guardian Angel. They are considered to be Heaven's greatest warriors, with Michael being the greatest of all.

Only archangels are permitted to run Houses.

Although they are tasked with protecting individual humans, they are also responsible for defeating all the Fallen and their nephilim off-spring.

The archangels are the smallest of all the ranks.

The archangels are Heaven's warriors.

Angels

The common belief in Heaven is that the angels are only capable of looking pretty and running errands. They are the only members of the angelic hierarchy who cannot be another rank.

There are very few in female vessels.
